Goals - What we are trying to do here
It is quite simple - we want to hand you a really good tasting piece of fruit. Everything else we do here is based on that. It starts with the varieties we plant. About 25 years ago we started selecting and planting the best tasting fruit we could find. Fuji apples were our first choice, and we're still continuing with Honeycrisp apples and some really tasty seedless grapes.
The process continues with our growing practices. We prune, thin, weed, and irrigate our crops to get the best fruit size and quality possible.
The most important step is harvesting at the correct time. If crops are picked too soon, the flavor just isn't there. We will pick fruit when it is ripe. If you ask for something that is not yet ready, we are not going to sell it to you, we will ask you to wait. We may lose a few sales this way but we gain more in the long run with happier customers.
